What is LandBank Bursary Programme?

The Land Bank Bursary Programme is a strategic initiative designed to invest in the development of future professionals in the agricultural and financial sector. By providing financial assistance to deserving students, the programme seeks to address the critical skills shortage facing the South African agricultural industry and promote inclusive economic participation, particularly among historically disadvantaged communities. The programme forms part of Land Bank’s broader socio-economic development efforts and helps to build a pipeline of skilled graduates who will contribute towards sustainable agriculture, food security, and rural development in South Africa.​

Financial Benefits of the Bursary :


• Full tuition fee coverage for Agricultural Colleges registered with the Higher Council of Education ( CHE) in South Africa 
• Provision for prescribed books, study materials, and a monthly living allowance.
• Accommodation and meal allowances where applicable.

Fields of Study :

• The programme prioritizes bursaries for undergraduate studies at Agricultural Colleges registered with the Higher Council of Education ( CHE) in South Africa


• Who Can Apply : 


• Applicants must be South African citizens. 
• Preference is given to students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds and rural areas. 
• Strong academic performance in Grade 12 (or equivalent) and at tertiary level.
• Demonstrated interest in contributing to the agricultural sector and Land Bank’s mission. 
• Must be between 18 – 28 years

• Mentorship and academic support through Land Bank’s internal resources and partnerships. 
• Exposure to workplace learning opportunities, including vacation work and participation in the Land Bank’s Alumni Programme. 
• Access to professional development workshops and seminars to enhance employability and leadership skills.

SASSETA Discretionary-Bursary For UNEMPLOYED YOUTH 2026

Closing Date: ON or Before 30January 2026 Time: 23:59pm

The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) invites all South African Youth invites all unemployed South African youth aged 18-35 registered /accepted at Public Tertiary Institutions for the 2026 academic year to apply for the unemployed Bursary Funding.

Fields of Study Supported :

What The Bursary Will Cover:

  • Students will also receive an electronic device (laptop or tablet) and mouse, to the maximum value of R10 000.
  • Distance learning students will receive funding to the value of R35 000, for the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees and books.
  • Fulltime students will receive funding to the value of R80 000, for the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, books, accommodation and meals.
  • TVET students will receive funding to the value of R50 000, for the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, books, accommodation and meals.
  • Masters and research students may claim funds in relation to their research related expenses, including printing and editing costs related to their thesis or dissertation.

SASSETA may consider additional funding and/ or paying outstanding student debt, subject to the availability of funding.

Compulsory Documents To Submit With Application Form:

  • Acceptance/Proof of Registration for 2026 in a Public Tertiary Institution.
  • Certified ID copy of the applicant , certification stamp must not be (older than 6months) from the time of the application.
  • Certified Matric/ statement of results or highest qualification ,certification stamp must not be (older than 6months )from the time of application.
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income and employment status (affidavit confirming total household income, specifying all sources of income and indication employment status)
  • Certified Copy of parents or guardian’s ID Document must not be (older than 6months) from the time of the application.
  • Total document must NOT exceed 2MB

Requirements For The SASSETA Bursary:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • You must be unemployed
  • You must NOT be taking part in any other SASSETA funded programme (internship, learnership or skills programme) within the current financial year
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be registered or accepted to study full-time or distance learning at a recognized and accredited public University/ University of Technology/ Public TVET College in South Africa (private institution students may only apply if their course of study is not offered at any of the public institutions)
  • You must be studying or registered to study within one of the fields of study listed above, in 2026
  • Preference will be given to students from the “missing middle” (a combined household income of between R350 000.01 and R600 000 per annum) and students from poor households (a combined household income of LESS than R350 000 per annum) and students from marginalised communities
  • You must read and agree to the terms of the

ARMSCOR External Bursary Scheme 2026

Armaments Corporation of South Africa SOC Ltd, is offering bursaries to exceptional learners through the ARMSCOR Bursary Scheme. The aim of the bursary scheme is to address the critical science and engineering skills offered within ARMSCOR. The bursary will be awarded/ allocated to learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds who want to study full-time in the engineering and science fields of study.

ARMSCOR Bursary will cover the following:

  • Tuition fees

  • Must be in financial need as demonstrated by proof of the combined income of the applicant’s guardian or parent’s -gross annual salary of not more than R1000 000.00
  • Candidates must have an interest in working in the Defence industry
  • Studying or intend on studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study
  • Studying or intend to study at a recognized Public Tertiary within South Africa.

SANAS External Bursary Programme 2026

NB: The department is only able to award 45 to 50 applicants. Therefore, submitting an application does not automatically mean that the applicant will be awarded the bursary.

Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) is offering 117 bursary opportunities to interested candidates to join the Air Traffic Services bursar programme. ATNS will host a total of four bursary intakes for the financial year. The programme provides each bursar with an opportunity to conduct their studies at the Aviation Training Academy in Bonaero Park, Gauteng.
